Must See ::: Years of Living Dangerously

Image: Years of Living Dangerously

Over the last few months, Showtime aired a series called Years of Living Dangerously. It followed some pretty heavy hitters, in both Hollywood and within the science community, as they toured the world seeing the effects of climate change.

This is likely to be a "dangerous" post given its divisive nature, but no matter what side of the topic you fall on, it's worth checking out.

All nine episodes are eye-opening, and chock full of mind-blowing data.  Hopefully enough people see this absolutely incredible series and learn that everything we do has a chain reaction and that if we want our kids and grandkids to have anything left, we have to stop what we're doing.  I have been working on consuming less, even one small step can have a ripple effect.

Below is Episode 1, which they've got on their site, and linked on YouTube.  The rest of Harrison Ford's mission is in Episode 2, in which he meets with the Minister of Forestry, and is guaranteed to make your head explode right off of your neck.   I wish that they would've had each "story" be an episode, or half of an episode, vs bouncing around how they have it. Just for clarity's sake.

For those who cannot view the above, Season 1 is on Showtime OnDemand and will be available on DVD in September, as well as iTunes and Amazon, and will eventually be available on Netflix.  They are also working on assembling a second season, of which a topic has not been released.

If you've seen it, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
