Wedding Wednesday ::: Lessons from a Wife of 9 Years

All photos by Cary Klein Photography

Somehow 9 years has managed to go by since my wedding day.  It's been an adventure, but at least I have a best friend to experience all the ups and downs of life with.

Wednesday Wow ::: Julia & Shane's Striking Kansas City Wedding

All photos by Meagan and Nate via StyleMePretty and the Meagan and Nate blog,
and used with the permission of both the photographer and the couple.

Is that guestbook and J|S sign not completely incredible?!

Trolling around the net recently, my attention was jolted by the amazing stationery and decor from Julia and Shane's truly modern, and incredibly beautiful Kansas City wedding.

Wonderful Workspace ::: Laura Hooper Calligraphy

Photography: Abby Jiu Photography

Being in the wedding industry, especially in dealing with paper, I've come to know that Laura Hooper is one of those go-to vendors for calligraphy.  She does phenomenal work, and she's obviously super down-to-earth.

Wednesday Wow ::: Gorgeous San Francisco Wedding

All photos by Jennifer Eileen

So, during a slow day at work, I was cruising around 100 Layer Cake, and came upon this absolutely amazing Black, White and Red wedding that was held in San Francisco. I freakin' love that city, and I also love that color combination.

Wednesday Wow::: Ian & Victoria, a St. Louis Wedding by MNC Photography

All photos by MNC Photography, used with written permission, please do not copy!

I happen to work in a pretty cool industry. It's a "job" that allows me to work alongside, and get to know, some of the best wedding vendors, not only in St. Louis, but in the entire country...no, make that the world.   Simply calling them "wedding vendors", especially when they're as talented as Mike Cassimatis, is really a serious understatement.

Wednesday Wow::: Dean & Mike's Gorgeous Southern Wedding!

I am a fan of Dean's blog "My Little Apartment", and since her wedding last Fall, being the wedding voyeur that I am, I have waited ever patiently for photos of what I expected to a pretty amazing event...and of course, it was absolutely worth the wait.  And apparently Martha Stewart agrees!

Probably the single best "wedding video" I have ever seen...

http://vimeo.com/15821639

...tell me that is not insanely awesome.  Seriously.

There's some back story about why her father was unable to walk her down the aisle. A few months ago he suffered a serious infection that put him into a coma. He is still in a level of coma that has prevented him from a lot of improvement but it does sound like there is a slow improvement.  I just remember her telling all of us, and how unbelievably heartbroken we were for her.  But the family decided to go on and it sure looks like they made a good choice. I hope that he awakens soon so that he can at least SEE the video. He would be filled with love and joy, I'd bet.
