Yay it's finally the weekend again! And it will be a beautiful one, at that!  Can you even believe it is MAY already? I got an email today from my aunt reminding me about our annual family picnic being a month away already.  What happened to this year already....

Happy Pi Day!

Finally, a taste of Spring!  Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were all amazing, with Monday and Tuesday in the 70s, almost 80!  All for naught, since we got a system overnight Tuesday that produced rain thankfully not the expected snow... boo on you, lady.  At least that moved out and we warmed back up a hair into the 50s. I can handle that...

I am hoping that with the weather in better shape we can make more progress on the basement.  Cold weather does not aid plumbing a whole lot...

So this month I had aimed to not buy much, spend much, and focus, instead, on saving a set amount and still haven't bought the new coat, which was all I wanted to allow myself to buy for the last two months.

Well, that road was paved with good intentions, but zero actual concrete.

Wow, I cannot believe Christmas has come and gone already, and we're only a few days from 2014!  I have my Whitney English Day Designer already cracked open and I am starting to really get down to business with that sucker now.

Surely by now, dear reader, you have picked up that I am a vain woman. I simply love beauty products. And love all the accoutrements. It's kind of a sickness. But it's also damn fun.

Weekend Update::: Domino is Coming Back!

:::I am kind of hit or miss on interior design. I love to look at well designed spaces, especially those that are well organized, and I love to plot out what I will do in my own house. I just fail to ever act on any of the inspiration. I regularly read Lonny, LivingETC, House and Home, HGTV Magazine and ElleDecor...and I really like them, but since the loss of Domino, there's simply been nothing like it to hit the scene since it's demise. In the short time it was around, it really created a serious cult following. It was loved with good reason.   

Weekend Update ::: The End is in Sight!

Man, I want that closet. That's like the size of half my house...I'd have to become a lot more of a fashionista! I wish I had the budget for Lisa Adams to come to my house. 

After some thankfully not long-lasting jackhammering, floor sawing and digging in the basement, we have the first step in the process done, whew!  The plumbing rough-in is done, as well as a few other plumbing discoveries that we found after the concrete was up that needed repaired, and the drain tiles and sump pump go in any day now.  That will be a nice load off our shoulders to be finished with that and ready to move on the remaining construction down there, and hopefully not be bleeding money too much longer.
