Fashion Fix ::: Addicted to Boden

All images via bodenusa.com

Before I get started on the meat of this post, I had to be an attention whore for a minute (well, isn't that always on here, I guess?) and celebrate reaching a "milestone!"   In just over 4 years, I've reached 400 posts. In that time, I've shared my style, knowledge, ideas and great finds with people around the world.  Thank you all for the support and for reading what I have to share! As In light of this milestone, I wanted to let you know that over the next few weeks I will be migrating over to Wordpress, and to my domain name, accordingtoame.com and hopefully a fresher look.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled post!

Since my last Fashion Fix post about Boden back in March, I've placed several more orders and I've been happy with each and every item.  I must be an Anglophile in my fashion sense, or finally be growing some fashion sense, because something about their product and their styling just speaks to me.

All photos by {accordingtoame}

Total "not so humble brag," but I just received my newest piece of awesome, a Seiko Presage Automatic Watch, direct from Japan, which I ordered from the amazing SeiyaJapan.com.

Happy belated birthday to me!

Must Have ::: Tieks Ballet Flats

All photos by {accordingtoame} unless otherwise noted

In the vast array of shoes one has at their disposal, there are very few pairs that actually make the cut in this "comfort trumps all" world of mine.  Sure, many are beautiful, and many catch my eye. Some even get purchased, only to languish in a discarded pile in the corner. But, most days you'll find me in a pair of men's no-fray navy low-top slip-on Chuck Taylor's from the huge stockpile I have amassed.

Ok, probably every day.

Must Have::: Tieks Ballet Flats

Photo: Tieks Facebook Page, Navy Folded Shoe from their online boutiek added by me

I am not often caught in a pair of ballet flats, to be completely upfront. You are going to find me, 99% of the time, in a pair of dirty, probably worn out and mutilated, navy Chuck Taylor slip-ons. Occasionally, I will bring out the spiffy Marimekko blue dot Chucks with the green laces. Or the Crocs flats or espadrilles. I think I have approximately one pair of "cute flats" that are not made by Crocs...the Cole Haan by Maria Sharapova Air Bacara flats I got in a metallic bronze last year from Nordstrom (on sale!) and have worn exactly 4 times since.

Must Have::: TRUFFLE Clarity Pouches

About a year ago, I read about Truffle on both Luella&June and A Piece of Toast, and all three ladies (Bradley, Sally and Molly, respectively) were quite in love with these amazing pouches.  I even messaged the lovely Bradley to inquire about her experiences travelling with the pouches and if she'd have any issues with TSA in regards to it (she hadn't.)

PRODUCT REVIEW: Tumi Capra Travel Wallet

As several of you know, I like big wallets. Big, Constanza-sized wallets. I have no idea what I need such space for but it's nice to have a big zippy wallet that holds lots of cards and the checkbook, and stows all the receipts I inevitably save. I have lusted after this quite a while in the orange shade, the perfect shade of Hermes orange, no doubt, and when I happened into a Tumi store at Mall of America last week I had to finally buy it. I paid $278 for this wallet, in a GORGEOUS green, only to find out it went on sale on their website like three days later!  Since they couldn't do the price adjust, I returned the one I got in Minneapolis back to the store by mail for a full refund and rebought online where it was almost half price on the urging of the store manager.  I ended up buying the green, the orange and then a small coin purse in green also, because it would make a good bar hopping wallet that can go in the swingpack I also picked up at the Coach outlet.  For perhaps $50 more I got three items vs just the one.  So I am nothing if not thrifty. I buy what I want at the best price I can get.
