I FINALLY got this the other day, and ripped it out and started testing it right away...uh oh. Pretty thin. And Fair is pretty cool toned. I figured "it's hot out so maybe it just needs to be shaken and set it out for a few hours to cool". The next morning I decided to give it a go. Still no dice! I seriously needed like 10x the blob I would ever need and it STILL hadn't covered anything. It didn't really "dry down" much either, because every layer I added--I believe 8 was the final number--just smeared everywhere. I had to set with powder for it to dry at all. But after 8 coats you'd think the circles might be covered...well...we were both wrong there.
I decided to leave it on and hope that the waterproof claims might be true. Those are not true either. This stuff was gone in an hour, and I BARELY got rained on.
So I gave it one more try and I have given up and gone back to a concealer that actually conceals things. While it doesn't totally cover them, it definitely lessens the circles. And it isn't pink.
Cosmetics industry please hear ye:
NOT EVERY PALE GIRL IS PINK TONED. SOME OF US ARE OLIVE OR YELLOW, OR SOME COMBINATION OF THAT. SO PLEASE QUIT MAKING EVERYTHING PALE PINK-TONED, AS PUTTING PINK ON OUR FACES IS THE EQUIVILENT OF CLOWN BLUSH ALL OVER.
hey it's Frankiextah on TPF :) ... totally agree with you on this! i am tanned/olive and find that BECCA makes the BEST BEST BEST concealer... it's in a tiny mirrored compact with 2 sides : left is heavy coverage and right is medium coverage. there are 40 shades in this range and with PALE GOLDEN/OLIVE undertone! it's super expensive but to me it's worth every penny... i wear mine every day (covered all my acne scars from a scary outbreak last year), and on my wedding day as well... good luck ! x
ReplyDeleteHey there!!! Thanks for reading!!!
ReplyDeleteI have worn the becca, it was not as full cover as I would have liked, but I have been told by a few folks lately, that I need to try it again.
:) PS you should only have a few more days!!!
