Wednesday Wow! ::: McTeigue & McClelland

I learned of McTeigue & McClelland a few years back when I came upon an image of one of their pieces, I believe, in W Jewels Magazine and was just blown away at the detail and finish.  I have since stalked their website to check out any new additions.

I adore their alloy selections, which are custom, and the way they finish the metal so that it looks more patina'd from the start.

The ring shown above is a 2.4 carat cushion cut ruby in an 18K and Platinum Classic Flora setting accented with diamonds.  The craftsmanship is just exquisite, completely by hand. Just look at those magnificent claw prongs and how beautifully invisible the setting is on each of those diamonds!

Below is another variation on their Flora setting, containing a 2.02ct Old Mine Cut diamond, again set in 18K and Platinum.  The petals on the shank are just so perfect, such tiny details are so well done by this team, and so perfectly brushed that against the creamy gold, the diamond just pops.
